Townspeople of Austin
If there is one thing an outlaw can’t resist, it’s a hootenanny.
We’re fixin’ to lure these no-good bandits into a trap by holding the biggest shindig this county has ever seen, and y’all are invited. On the 19th of September, we’ll gather in town to eat, drink, dance, and have us a hog-killin’ time. The saloon will be open for business, beer and whiskey will flow, tasty grub will be served, two-stepping music will be played, cards will be dealt, chips will be won, Madame Porter and her ladies will keep us company, and at the end of it all, we even have one of those newfangled movin’ pictures to show ya. So put on your Sunday best, grab your dancin’ boots, and leave the young’uns at home cause we intend to raise some hell.
What in the heck is this?
This is an immersive cinema experience based on a classic and beloved western film. The audience will show up a few hours before the screening to explore an interactive world. There will be a saloon, saloon girls, multiple live music performances, two-stepping, gambling, whiskey, beer, BBQ, duels, reenactments of scenes, and more! At the end of it all, you sit down to enjoy an outdoor screening of the film.
What movie are you screening?
It's a surprise! We think that trying to guess the film leading up to the event is part of the fun. Follow us on social media for clues.
Where is Star Hill Ranch and how do I get there?
Star Hill Ranch is located in Bee Cave, TX and is approximately a 30 minute drive from downtown Austin. If you choose to self drive, there is plenty of free parking on site. For an added fee, we also offer bus transportation to and from the event. Busses will leave from Republic Square in downtown Austin.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
No, you can not. A selection of tasty food and a variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be sold separately.
Do I have to dress in costume?
We strongly encourage everyone to dress in old west costume for this event but no, you do not have to if you don't want to. Just know that if you choose not to, we might make fun of your modern duds.
Can I bring my six-shooter?
No, although we encourage dressing in western costume, please leave all guns at home. No weapons, whether they are real or fake, will be permitted at the event.
Is this a family friendly event?
No, this particular Door No. 4 event is ages 21+.
