Docs In Progress is all about building community through documentary film. Every year, we showcase films produced by members of our documentary community in our Community Stories Festival. Tonight's program screening is one of five events of the Seventh Annual Community Stories Festival taking place between November 9-12. ABOUT THE FILM
Amidst the political rhetoric of walls, three young people are working to prove that love knows no borders. Renata, Evelyn, and Antonio were young children when their parents brought them to the United States in search of a better life. They were teenagers when their mothers, fathers, and siblings were deported. Today, they are known as Dreamers. Join them at a pivotal moment in their lives as they fight for a pathway to citizenship and a chance to be reunited with their loved ones.
Following the screening, director Hilary Linder will participate in a Q&A with the audience.
The film was produced under the auspices of Docs In Progress' Fiscal Sponsorship and Fellowship Programs and is also an alum of our Peer Pitch Program. We are proud to include it as part of our
2016 Community Stories Festival.
